Cortical mechanisms of visual acuity

We have produced several mouse models in which visual acuity, or its plasticity, is altered due to selective transgene expression in the cortex. Using optical imaging of intrinsic optical signal and in vitro and in vivo electrophysiological methods we study the underlying mechanisms responsible for altered acuity in these animals.
